Who is the best plumber?
So, it was early July and I woke up one day to flooding. Water was everywhere. This water was coming from the toilet bowl and bathroom shower. Every time someone flushed from upstairs or ran the water it emptied itself out onto the floor.

Mopping was no use and snaking the toilet bowl was hopeless. So, I decided to get a Plumber. Who would have thought that finding a good plumber would be such a hassle! After a quick Google search I called P-tree because I did not like Roto Rooter reviews. P-tree sounded promising and they let me know that they would send someone in half an hour for a consultation fee of 89$ which would be waived should I decide to use their services.
In half an hour as promised a plumber came. He said, the job would cost almost a thousand dollars and if I use their services the $89 fees would be waived. After taking pics and trying to locate some connector which he could not find, he did not even snake it, he said that he would have to break down the toilet but there was no guarantee that the problem would be solved. I didn’t see the sense in parting with almost a $1000 bucks for a no guarantee job so, I gave him a check for about $98 and change (tax added) and he went on his merry way. Problem was still not solved but money went out the door. He gave me another Plumber’s number who came out, snaked the toilet and still couldn’t find the connector. He tried but since he could not fix the problem he said he wouldn’t charge, call another Plumber.
In the meantime I was on YouTube looking at videos on how to fix plumbing issues so I wouldn’t have to put my hands in the toilet bowl again . (I know. I know that’s gross but it had to be done.) That arm and hammer baking powder and vinegar was just waste of time and money. I even taped down the toilet and pressed down as the video instructed and that did not work. It started raining and the toilet over flowed and I just let it. I got some pampers and left it there to soak up the water.

I looked up Angie’s List but with her list a fee is required so, I didn’t bother. Lucky for me a house was being renovated across the street and the plumbing truck was right there so, I called and explain my situation and boy if I had to depend on them, I would still be waiting because although I was told that the Plumber would stop by, to date I haven’t heard from them but I still see the truck parked on the block.
After about 2 nights of going to bed real late and rising early (because I had to scoop water out the toilet and shower into a bucket before it gushed onto the floor and keep watch so that matters didn’t get worse off than it was) I called another Company which maybe died and went to Heaven because, I haven’t seen nor heard from them since.
Exhausted, weary, pissed, and running out of options around 8 pm on the 3rd day of my dilemma I called my Cousin in law and he got the job done for less than what P-tree wanted to charge. He is the best Plumber ever. We had a boiler problem before and he fixed it so I still don’t know why I did not call him right away. If you have a plumbing problem call Alberto 347-933-2813.
